Jamie Andrews

This is a simple site introducing me, Jamie Andrews. I'm just starting a personal blog after much dithering, which you can find here. You can also follow me on Twitter.

I work as a Business Development Manager for AMEE. My favourite project I've worked on so far is RealtimeCarbon.org.

I run Loco2. We're currently developing a sophisticated journey-planning tool for overland travel.

I blog about various things related to the current economic situation at dealingwiththeglobalcrisis.com. The blog includes my observations of the UN climate change conference in Poznan which I attended in December 2008 (there weren't enough Finance Ministers there).

I definitely didn't have anything to do with this spoof Financial Times website.

From March 2007 to April 2008 I worked for Torchbox project-managing The Carbon Account.

Before working for Torchbox, I worked for LIFE-IC and managed a European Commission renewable energy project.

I enjoy writing and I've written an an article about Carbon Rationing Action Groups and an article about personal carbon trading, both of which appeared in The Ecologist. You can read an extended (more policy-focused) version of the personal carbon trading artilce here.

I've also appeared as an expert on carbon in Q Music Magazine, where I helped them calculate the footprint of three artists' tours

I have a BA in History from the University of Sheffield and I like utilising the analytical skills I learnt during my degree.

I am currently based at The Hub in London. Drop me a line if you have something interesting to talk about and fancy meeting for a coffee:
